Huddersfield blow it big time

Huddersfield Town have done it again, lost a game that they really needed to win or at the very least draw, against a side whose form has been so poor, the goal that clinched the game was the first that Gillingham have scored on their home ground this year.

Admittedly it was a dubious penalty, which was awarded when ex-Town player Delroy Facey was judged to have been fouled by Clarke in the area, allowing Gillinghams Adam Miller to score from the penalty spot in the 88th minute.

Town now slip down the table to 14th place, 8 points form the drop and now 9 points from the play-offs.

Next up - league leaders Swansea at the Galpharm next Saturday.

In my view any lingering hopes of reaching the play offs died in the 88th minutes of the game today, but in truth they had died in many poor performances before this.
The fans ever positive optimism the main factor in keeping the dream alive

Poor performances against Gillngham themselves at the Galpharm, Northampton likewise. Southend and Leeds, Nottingham Forest, Tranmere, Walsall and more on the road have been the real culprits.

That said, I would not put it past this most inconsistent and at times infuriating team to win against runaway League leaders Swansea next week. After all the terriers did win 1-0 in South Wales in November.

Let us have your views, on yet another disappointing day.
Is 14th place acceptable really as far as you are concerned.
Maybe you think the team is where it should be ability wise.
Andy Ritchie a genius and the team all heroes being given a bad press.

Aww boo bleeding hooo, the refs had a shocker, it would have been 0-0 we was robbed, what a load a crap, the team is not good enough, everyone reckoning we were gonna thrash em, and the best we would have done was draw 0-0. No fecking chance of the play offs.

Ritchie will be gone before start of next season, and quite a few players too.
Hudders
suprise suprise ritchie is complaining about the ref and somehow said that the effor was good!bizarre! VOTE NEXT SEASON WITH A NEW ASSISTANT TO RITCHIE! ritchies not a bad manager, its dungworth! ritchies kind of game would be a 4-2 win like his first game in charge. dungworths kind of game is like the 1-0 vs bournemouth!

Maybe it will soon be time to admit Ritchie aint the man for the job, hes had a good year almost, been well supported by the chairman in terms of fiinancing signings as Ritchie himself has said, and we are 14th in FL1 as we were a year ago, no progress has been made. Dungworth and Ritchie should possibly go. If I were Davy I would wait until after the next three or four games if its still as we are, make a change. Today and tuesday were really poor performances, we were lucky to win 1-0 on a pen on tues and lunlucky to lose 1-0 by a pen today, both could have easily been 0-0 draws, Which when you are saying you are play off potential against sides looking and playing like relegation teams is just not good enough.

Going nowhere this season, today I feel worse than I have all season about the clubs future. Very disappointed.

Yeah come on then where are yer, those guys coming on here telling us all to be more positive and optimistic and all that, wake up and smell the coffee or in my case tea ! Yet again, again, a loss at the time they needed to perform, some major issues of motivation, commitment and desire here. They can do it v Brum and on the odd occasion, Ritchie/Dungworth need to get some results in quick or lose their jobs, either way it will be a good for us, cause we can't and should not go on like this.

Guys get your money on Town to beat Swansea next week, you know this lot will just do that, if we aint going up, might as well make a few bob.
Galpharm
ritchies proved himself in the past that hes a good enough manager, hes done some good things with us at times, did a great job at barnsley and i know he was at oldham for a bit (but i dont know if he did well or not :P) dungworth however is TERRIBLE WOEFUL NO HOPE AWFUL HORRIBLE VILE UNACCEPTABLE INEPT SSHHHIIIITTTTTEEEEEEE!!!! just look at the poor reserves, hes turned them crap and therefore they wont be as good as they could be when they progress in there career.

Pretty poor game really considering how important it was for both teams, funny thing we've had so many pens turned down this year that should have been given and then we get one that i'd have to see again to be sure about. Oh well such is football, considering your recent form you didn't test our keeper.Always the next game guys, good luck for the rest of the season, hope to still be playing you next year.
