Hartlepool 2 Huddersfield 1-Result

Town team

Glennon
Sinclair, Clarke, Page, Williams
Kamara, Worthington, Holdsworth, Brandon
Jevons, Booth

Subs

Young, Beckett, Collins, Hardy, Berrett

Worthington back in the side in place of Collins, is the only change from Saturday against Orient.
Beckett still surprisingly still on the bench.

Also worth noting is that Andy Ritchie has not included a keeper on the bench !

Hartlpool: Lee-Barrett, McCunnie, Nelson, Collins, Humphreys, Sweeney, Liddle, Boland, Monkhouse, Porter, Mackay

Subs: Elliott, Lee, Foley, Robson, Craddock

Jevons goes off with only ten minutes gone, so Beckett is on anyway now.
Jevons must have picked up a very early knock.

The first thirty minutes were pretty much even stevens until old boy Sam Collins scored with a header for Hartlepool.
Hartlepool 1 Huddersfield 0.

Pools miss an open goal, Mackay the guilty party, lucky escape for Huddersfield.

Beckett misses a good opportunity now, putting a Williams effort that rebounded off the post over the bar.

Half Time - Town 1-0 Down.

Mackay has scored to make it 2-0 to Hartlepool as the second half has barely got underway.

This is an uphill struggle for the terriers now.

Glennon pulls off a good save from Mackay, it could have been a third for Danny Wilsons side, they are certainly having a purple patch in this period of the game.

Nathan Clarke has pulled a goal back from a corner, it is now 2-1, Holdsworth the provider again.

Sweeney has now missed a good chance for Hartlepool, the terriers are living dangerously as they try to get an equaliser.

Collins now comes on as Sinclair is substituted.

Williams wastes another free kick, he has not had a good game, yet again.

FULL TIME 2-1 to Hartlepool.

What now for Ritchie, even he cannot possibly say the play offs are a possibility now

Not good enough, end of story.

The seasons is over now for sure as far as promotion goes.

Not good enough, as they article says. Ritchie is a dead man walking.
Hudders
Still we faired better than pool's last victims ..They went down 4 - 0

Unfortunatly we came across a team in form, but like you say Hudders still not good enough, were no more than toothless tigers, ..When the chips are down we should be able to dispose of the likes of pool...The rest of this week should be devoted to some serious shooting practice..Oh and a refresher course on how to take free kicks for our specialist,Mr Williams...

A one goal deficit away from home in hartlepool against an in form team? Obviously disappointinfg but hardly capitulation!

I Think You Should Concentrate On Avoiding Relegation Rather Than The Play Offs....Two More Wins Should do It For You...!
