Huddersfield beat Rovers 3-2

Bristol Rovers v Huddersfield Town

Town team to face Rovers

Glennon
Collins, Clarke, Page, Sinclair, Kamara, Worthington, Berrett, Brandon, Booth, Beckett
subs
Smithies, Racchi, Akins, Broadbent, Williams

Holdsworth does not feature due to injury, it looks like Collins will play at right back and Sinclair covering at left back.
Young strikers, Akins and Broadbent are on the bench.
Ritchie not risking the recovering from injury Williams, but he has a place on the bench.

BRISTOL ROVERS: Steve Phillips, Aaron Lescott, Byron Anthony, Danny Coles, Joe Jacobson, Chris Lines, Stuart Campbell, Craig Disley, David Pipe, Josh Klein-Davies, Rickie Lambert

Substitutes: Richard Walker, Andy Williams, Sean Rigg, Craig Hinton, Lewis Haldane

Page gets an early chance for Huddersfield, and Lambert misses one at the other end in the early stages.

A wind affected game.
So severe that the Rovers authorities have closed a temporary stand due to safety concerns.

Probably won't be the best football in the World today.

Twenty minutes gone, another Glennon gaff, failing to meet a ball he went for, results in debutant Klein-Davies scoring.
1-0 to Rovers

Rovers have a goal disallowed.

Berrett equalises, 1-1

Its not often Huddersfield come back from a losing position to win, but they do have time to do it.

Game back on now.

HALF TIME - Bristol Rovers 1 Huddersfield Town 1

This game could go either way, or no way at all, it is all still up for grabs.

Rovers have scored with only a couple of minutes of the second half gone. Lines from a tight angle on the break.
2-1 to Bristol Rovers

Pipe is replaced by Haldane for Rovers.

I would be surprised if the game goes on much longer without any Huddersfield substitutions.

Williams comes on to replace Kamara, hardly an attacking substitution by Andy Ritchie.

Andy Williams on for Rovers now, replacing Klein-Davis.

We now have both Andy Williams and Robbie Williams on the field.

Very Musical !

Brandon has equalised for Huddersfield with twenty minutes remaining, from a Booth flick on.
2-2 Now.

Worthington goes into the referees book, with ten minutes to go, normal service is resumed !

Broadbent comes on for Beckett, Andy Ritchie still not really going for the win, a striker for a striker is the substitution.

Collins has scored ! it's 3-2 to Huddersfield only a minute or so to go, a great shot.

Booth booked as the game closes.

Glennon pulls off a good save to make up his first half error.

FULL TIME - Bristol Rovers 2 Huddersfield Town 3.

A great result for the terriers, they come back from being behind twice in the game to win.
That's more like it !

Nice one well done to the players the manager tried to make it hard to win with some poor late substitutions but very entertainig shame that word never crops up about games played at home!

FANTASTIC! how many different emotions did we have during that game?! great game, even better result, rovers aint an easy team to beat at the mem. how unlikely was it for this game to happen this way?! i mean come on, we've only scored 3 once this season in the league, we've only come back from losing postions to win once this season in the league. fantastic, after going 2-1 down you would've thought that the lads will have given up and put there heads down like usual, but NOPE! cant believe i'm saying this but WELL DONE RITCHIE! decent tactics and subs and of course this morning he became the first ever manager to hit the crossbar on soccer am's crossbar challenge!

Well done to Town, great news, Davy for manager !, hes managed to buck the players ideas up with one public statement, more effect than Ritchie's had all season !
Eddie01
Didnt go, but well done to all the lads. Ritchie needs more time I think. Maybe Davy should have given them all a verbal kick up the backside b4 now.

got to be one of my favourite games this season, if you take away the fa cup, my favourites would have to be (in no particular order) swansea away, yeovil away (and home probably but just because it was a very nice day =D) cheltenham away hartlepool home luton home and today bristol rovers away, if you included the cup they'd all be in there, enjoyed every moment of that cup run, barring the bit where we were losing 2-0 to accrington, best would be either the winning goal at stanley, winning goal v brum, final whistle at oldham and of course equalising at chelsea! sorry i went on a bit there lol

Go Bone Berrett!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Away v Millwall I remember cos I thought we were gonna be getting somewhere this season, the feeling lasted 4 days till we got hammered at Grimsby in the paint trophy, and then went on to lose the next three after that. The cup run was good but the league and promotion is more important. Today was a good day.
