Huddersfield, play off odds lengthen
Many thanks to some of the regular Vital Huddersfield contributors for passing this news on via postings earlier.
To confirm, the deadline for loan signings passed at 5pm today with no players leaving the Galpharm but much more significantly, no players joining the club.
Manager Andy Ritchie recently confirmed

This failure to find a suitable forward could be the ultimately fatal blow in the very slim chances the terriers have of making the play offs.
Beckett, Booth and the young Akins are currently the only fit strikers at the club as Cadamarteri, Jevons and Broadbent are all injured.
However Danny Schofield is now at the club until the end of the season, no clubs finalising a loan move for the want away player, which could be a blessing if he can find his lost form.

Just when you start to think, er, maybe, what if, why not, it could happen, good old Andy doesn't strike again. Says to me what I always thought he knows its over for this season, otherwise he would have moved mountains, pestered Davy, etc to get a Leon Constantine in. Be tough v Oldham.

I have just seen on itv teletext that we tried to sign Steve Jones frm Burnley but crewe were the ones to get him. What does this say to Ritchie and about our club. RITCHIE OUT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

u joking? CREWE beat us to it?! crewe are awful! they have an awful team, awful stadium and facilities, awful fans, awful coaches, awful everything and they're battling relegation! WTF?! i feel bloody insulted lol! it cant say anything about the club because everyone knows the club should be higher than it is, but its got to say something about ritchie. we're a big club, crewe are a tinpot club!

He moved from leigh RMI in 2001 to crewe and spent 5 years there before going to burnley but found it hard to get into the team so has gone back to crewe on loan
