'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Huddersfield, Allen latest.

Early fans favourite to succeed Andy Ritchie, the former Leicester City, MK Dons and Brentford boss Martin Allen is interested in becoming the new manager of Huddersfield Town.

the 42 year old, has been out of management since ending his only managerial stint as a failure, his three-month spell working for in the Championship at Leicester last August.

'I'm definitely looking to get back in the game,' Allen told the Yorkshire Post.

'I've managed against Huddersfield before and it's an awesome set-up - it's a big club with good support.

'I have had several opportunities (to return) but it has got to be the right job for me.'

Meanwhile caretakwer boss Gerry Murphy has wasted no time in sertting his stall out, quoted in the Examiner.

"I certainly know what I want - that`s first and foremost for us to win Saturday`s match, but also for us to get the ball down and pass.

"I want enthusiasm, commitment and desire from the players, and I`d love to see those season-ticket holders who have been staying away back down here cheering the team on.

Vital view - Oh how I wish Gerry Murphy was ten years younger and willing to accept ther job full time !
