Huddersfield-Whos interviewing who

And then their were six.

Huddersfield Chairman Ken Davy and the board met yesterday to select their prime candidates to succeed Andy Ritchie from a total of 26 applications.

"We will be doing some additional research on the candidates we want to talk to and the calibre is very high.'

"While the candidates we have are good, we will not rule out anyone else from applying at this stage.

"Of those who are on our list, we will be in touch with them in the very near future."

Said the Chairman

Ken Davy, vice-chairman Andrew Watson and board members Roger Armitage, Ann Hough and Ralph Rimmer, the stadium managing director, put together the shortlist.

When I saw this, the question that sprang to my mind was,
Are these the right people to be doing the interviews ?
Do they know what it takes to be a football manager.
Whilst they know the club, and of course its goals, and culture, and as it is Ken Davys money he should be interviewing, but the others ? I am not convinced.

Whilst Vital Huddersfield welcomed the removal of Andy Ritchie we do also think other changes need to be made, and perhaps a more in depth football knowledge interviewing panel could be one of them.

I dont know em, so its hard to say, although, Gerry Murphy, and possibly other senior football guys should be involved.

TF82, will you stop it with the masses of appeals for martin allen, he likes longball as much as ritchie liked that wall, his style of football is dire and un-entertaining, he would be the wrong appointment, even hutchings would be better, he doesnt like longball. but here mine- SHEARER FOR MANAGER! :P

lol RGT aint gonna happen! wheres ur support gone u were behind allen up till recently!?!!
Town Fan 82
If not Allen or Shearer, it leaves us with Hutchings, failed at 2 clubs already, davies, yes Derby were only bottom of pre when he was sacked, and fluked their promotion in the first place, thanks to Jon Steads goals while on loan their. Umless we have missed someone they are the best two, allen n Davies unless we go for Clough who probably hasn't applied. Maybe their is a wild card application, we dont know about. An ace foreigner itcghing to get into english football.!!
