HTFC - Theo Robinson set to sign

Lee Clark looks set to sign Watford striker Theo Robinson for 275k.

Robinson was of course on loan with Southend last season and missed a sitter at the Galpharm last season.

Robinson will of course know Peter Clarke from Southend, and he provides yet more competition for the strikers berth with Lee Novak, Robbie Simpson, Phil Jevons and Keigan Parker already on board.

What do you think of the new signing?

Happy?

Pleased?

would the fact that Kegian and Jevo actually having competition make them better?....we all saw what happened with Robbie Williams when Werling came in...just a thought...

i hope clarky isnt settleing 4 second best im sure brighton or sum average team like them was goin to sign him last week but couldnt afford the 275 askin price. Lets hope he's a true blue if he signs
terrier09
having read what lee clark and clibbens have just been saying, maybe this is the speculation there on about, about teams , agents using our name to bump up players prices!!!!!!!!
terrier09
the £275k figure has been banded around by Watford for a while now with Swindon & BHA both keen to deal - Apparently it priced Southend out of the race. Plenty of speculation though suggesting it'll be £200k deal + add ons. Was meant to be joining Swindon last week but no news!

Williams didnt chance when werling came in, he was playing well through december when he got his chance ahead of skarz.
Impact
and terrier09, clark said that in january, probably referring to Lambert at the time. It will always happen.
Impact
Never heard of him

Yes he was playing well and improving, but it was a noticeable boost as soon as Werling arrived. Skarz is hardly competition...
Huddersfield550
He was at the time. He was ahead of him under murphy to begin with. I think he has been one of our best players all year, and one of the most if not the most consistent performer. Btw, swindon apparently have had a bid accepted a while back.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Kind regards, Swindon Town Fan :)

double BOOOOOOOOO from another -

I dont think this has gone through yet. Didnt he make a verbal agreement to join swindon?
Impact
i read a lot of clubs have looked at him this season , good luck to the lad .
Kimbo
Impact - yes there was a verbal agreement allegdly between Player and clubs, then its rumoured agents stepped in - and decided to play out for higher wages etc.. - we weren't prepared to play ball in that game. So if he works out fair play to your lot who took the gamble - if he doesn't you have an overpriced flop, time will tell. Good luck anyway.

medical has hit some stumbling blocks according to sources!
Terrier24
This is interesting but I do wonder whether Swindon would pursue if Huddersfield abandoned the deal.
Nellup
Huddersfield are realy showing themselves as a team with ambition this Summer and as a Leeds fan I think you will be contenders for promotion next year!...

cheers gromjo!

We better be. Still waiting for an experienced striker though!
