HTFC - Eastwood on Loan To City

Huddersfield Town Goalkeeper Simon Eastwood has left the Terriers on Loan to join local neighbours and rivals Bradford City.

Eastwood who started Town's final game of last season away at Leyton Orient, which was also his debut, is now looking to establish himself as Bradford's number one for the upcoming season.

His competition for the number one jersey at Valley Parade is another rookie 'keeper Jon McLaughlin

Eastwood is definately up for the challenge after playing second fiddle to both Matt Glennon and current star Alex Smithies.

Simon admitted that nothing has been decided at Bradford thus far on who will be number one

"Nothing`s really been said so far. We`re both fighting for that number one spot as nothing is nailed down.

"But until it is, I`m fighting to make sure I`m number one. I`ve been number two at Huddersfield and I`ve come here to play first-team football. All I want is a chance and hopefully that`s all I`ll need."

I would personally think that Eastwood will be the number one goalkeeper at Bradford this season, otherwise manager Lee Clark wouldn't have let him go out on loan

What do you think?

Needless to say we wish Simon well with his loan stint.
