HTFC - Eastwood Returns To Town

Simon Eastwood has been recalled by Lee Clark following an initial loan spell of 6 months at Bradford City where he was first choice and featured in 28 games in total

There had seemed to be some confusion over Eastwood's loan deal as Bradford City manager Stuart McCall had claimed that he had decided against extending the loan, and stressing he wanted to bring in a more experienced 'keeper. Starting rumours amongst Town fans that Matt Glennon could be heading over to Valley Parade.

However Town boss Lee Clark moved quickly to dismiss the rumours over Eastwood, speaking to the clubs official site he said:-

'I've seen a few quotes over the last few days regarding Simon, but I made the decision to bring him back here'

Reading into it maybe a bit of a fall out between the two managers? but certainly one Mr. McCall has egg on his face and perhaps was spitting his dummy out over losing Simon.

Well its all academic now as Simon is back training at Town and could see him self as back up to Smithies should Matt Glennon leave the club, but Boss Lee CLark is keeping his options open, he went on to add:-

'We will look at the situation over January regarding Simon and Matt and decide which one of them will go out on loan or leave the club. We will look at different options for each player and see what the best is for us and the lads as well. One will go out in the January window, because they are too good to not even be on the bench'

Well in my opinion the best for the club would be to see Glennon leave, after Stan gave him a huge wage boost he is now a drain on the finances and by freeing up Glennon's wage Town could then spend that extra wage on a much needed Left Back.

We will wait and see what happens!

Loan to Bradford. I think Clark's brought him back in case smithiess goes and then one of the two will be loaned out at the end of jan if he stays.
