Lee Novak's transfer fee has now reached £150,000 after the striker played his 30th game for The Terriers, triggering a £50,000 clause
Novak of course signed for Town from Gateshead last season and immediately re-joined Gateshead on loan for the remainder of their season.
The 21 year old, who has six goals to his name this term played the 30th game in his Town career during the 1-0 away win at Yeovil, where he came on as a sub for the injured Eccleston.
Gateshead chairman Graham Wood spoke to the Huddersfield Daily Examiner about the move:-
"Lee scored 28 goals in 38 games during our promotion campaign last season and I`m not surprised he has done so well at Huddersfield.
"They rate him highly and he has been involved in the first team from day one. It shows what a quality player he is and he will only get better.
"It was a good deal for both clubs and a fair one for a player who is a natural goalscorer and has a long career ahead of him.
"Becoming a full-time club next season will be expensive, so £100,000 this season from the Novak transfer has been a tremendous help in difficult economic times."
Novak has already become a firm Town favourite and his all action and fully commited performances this season so far have rightly earned him the nickname 'super novak'
Keep up the good work Lee!
