HTFC - League One finalised for next season

Huddersfield Town will face new opponents in next seasons npower league one

Norwich, Leeds and Millwall via the play-offs are off the fixture list as they move onto Championship football next term.

Also off the fixture list for next season are Gillingham, Wycombe, Southend and Stockport as all four sides were relegated to league two for next season.

Play-off Final losers Swindon will again compete in league one next season alongside semi final losers Charlton and Huddersfield.

Coming down from above are Peterborough, Plymouth and Sheffield Wednesday.

Whilst coming up from League two are champions Notts County, Bournemouth and Rochdale, Also joining them after winning their play-off final are Dagenham & Redbridge who in doing so condemed Rotherham to another season in league two, and possibly paved the way for Huddersfield to move for Adam Le Fondre.

So we are all set for the new season, and with long away trips added to the calendar especially with the trip to Plymouth and Bournemouth!

How do you think Town will fare next season?

Can you see a run-away winner?

There will be two teams that will be far and away better than the rest. I see you and the Saints out stripping everybody else. Specially if you keep your lads together.

I think Saints and Charlton will be strong next season but I think Huddersfield will be up there in contention. Swindon will challenge again and if Wednesday keep their squad together (unlikely) they will be in contention. My three for next season would be Saints, Swindon and Huddersfield if Charlton have to sell to keep afloat.

My guess is Saints,Wednesday and Notts County (county up via playoffs with Saints and Owls promoted by mid April)

Huddersfield will be in top 6 whatever

Swindon have to sell to stay afloat? Says who? We'll tighten up but we don't need to sell any contracted players. Hope you all have a good summer.

Swindon will flop - they overachieved this year and Paynter will be gone. I make it 6 teams north of Nottingham, more long trecks down south...

its going to be a good season ahead, now to get through the summer without our teams.. grr... oh yeah we have the world cup xD.... For me Southampton will walk league one next season, and it really depends who Lee Clark signs we will be in the top 6 but im sure all Town fans will agree with me, we want automatic!! Have a great summer guys & Girls

good call on the paynter move impact! I think they will possibly lose Austin too
Terrier24
Think he will stay. Is a big gamble for teams to pay good money for someone who played half a season. I dont think he'll be nearly as good without someone like Paynter playing with him, and the same for Paynter with Austin.
