HTFC - Transfer Deadline Day At Town

There were no incomings and only one departure on transfer deadline day at Huddersfield Town

Jim Goodwin was the player to leave The Galpharm, however he has not left to join a club, he has simply become a free agent, after he and the club reached an agreement to settle the remainder of his contract.

Town manager Lee Clark commented on the official site:-

'Jim has been fantastic since for my entire tenure as manager of the Club. He is an incredibly hard-working individual who serves as a brilliant example for all of our young professionals and he has never let me down when he's been called upon.

'I will do everything I can to help him find a new club, but I doubt that he will need any help given his ability.'

There had been mad panic that Anthony Pilkington was set for an exit in the window, but that madness was obviously just that as the silky winger is still here, the same can be said for striker Theo Robinson.

Manager Lee Clark could dip into the loan window that opens next week to secure some defensive cover, with Gary Naysmith, Tom Clarke and brother Nathan all out injured.

not really surprised that this has happened, Lee never really rated Jim as good enough for his style of football, its the age old sell / release the previous managers players... Good luck to Jim.. But Lee Clark is doing what he feels is best for HTAFC, so all is well

He was a good player to have in 08/09 but Clark got some better players in and he was pushed out. Always gave 100%, and I dont think many of us will forget his only goal and that game in general.
Impact
he was absolutely storming that game, just hope we dont come up against him on that form !!!
