HTFC - Pilkington Staying till 2014

Huddersfield Town winger Anthony Pilkington has agreed a new two-year contract to keep him at the club until June 2014

Town Boss Lee Clark told the club website:

'I'm delighted we have secured Anthony as he is one of the most sought-after young players in the country.

'I know he enjoys his football here and is enjoying being at the Club. We are looking forward to him helping the Club achieve its goals, of which the main one is to get promoted this season.

'Everyone has seen the improvement in him since he first joined us and there is still more to come from Anthony. He is a pleasure to work with as he has a great attitude.

Great news from the club and perfect timing to have announced it before the January transfer window opens.

Pilks also spoke to the club website about his new deal:-

'Everything is in place for this Club to progress to the next level and I want to be a part of that success. We have a great squad of players here and I've been shown the plans for the new training ground at Canalside, which is all very exciting.

'I love it here; the Club has great staff everywhere and the ambition of the Club is plain for all to see. I'm an ambitious lad myself, but Huddersfield Town reflects that ambition and now we just have to concentrate on being in the Championship come this time next year.'
