HTFC - Garner and Croft - Head home

JOE GARNER and LEE CROFT will not be having their loans at Huddersfield Town extended, thats the news coming from Lee Clark following the expiry of their 6 month loan deals from Nottingham Forest and Derby County respectively

Lee Clark speaking to htafc.com said:-

'We thank the lads for their efforts; Joe Garner has played important roles in some good victories for us this season so his efforts are appreciated. But as a goal scorer you are judged on goals and I need someone that will help Jordan Rhodes in the goal scoring stakes.

Sadly, Lee Croft couldn't achieve the levels I know he can offer. I saw him during my last season with Norwich when he was in sensational form, but during his time with us he wasn't able to reproduce that.

'They are both terrific lads, terrific professionals and I wish them both the best whether it's back at their parent Clubs, or elsewhere out on loan.

So will Lee Clark be adding to his squad in January, having already landed Kevin Kilbane on New Years Day,the Gaffer added:-

'We may look into the market to see if we can replace both Joe and Lee.'

I am always looking and I know what type of player I want so if the right player comes up then we may do some business.'

No real surprise with either to be honest, Joe Garner did show glimpses of what he is capable of but no goals in 6 months is very poor for a striker and as for Lee Croft he very rarely figured and never looked fully fit in his time here.

Good Decision by Lee Clark?
