HTFC - Kadar Joins Town

Lee Clark has raided his home town team to snap up 20 year old defender Tamas Kadar on a one-month emergency loan deal.

The 20 year old Hungarian international joined Newcastle in 2008 from Zalaegerszegi TE.

Ironically his senior debut was against Town during last seasons Carling Cup Clash at St James Park.

Manager Lee Clark commented on the official site:-

Gary Naysmith has such an unique injury that there is no timescale to it, which has led to young Liam Ridehalgh coming into the squad. He has done absolutely brilliantly, but we need some natural cover there as well.

'I know Graham Carey ahs played there too, but naturally Graham is more of a forward-thinking left-sided player and you need two players for each position; Tamas gives us that.

'He comes here having played in the Premiership and he is an international footballer, having gained his first cap for Hungary at just 20 years of age. I was still at Newcastle when he signed as a youngster and I worked with him there, so we know what we are getting.

'He played as a central defender when he made his debut against us last season and that shows how flexible he is. The thing for me was the desire the lad showed; he was on the bench for Newcastle in the FA Cup on Saturday, but he couldn't agree to the move here quickly enough and collected his boots from the Newcastle training ground on Sunday before travelling up to be our squad in preparation for Plymouth.

'He's in consideration for the Plymouth game, but we have to decide whether we start him or ease him in.'

A wise move from Clark, as he now has cover at Left-back and Centre-back, but will Tamas stay beyond the initial one month?

What do you make of the latest recruit?

How many more comings and goings do you expect this transfer window?!

Might be wrong on this, but I reckon it's an emergency loan so he can play against Plymouth. If all goes well could then be extended perhaps
