HTFC - Leigh(ed) to waste

LEIGH Franks has been released by Huddersfield Town after his contract expired this summer.

The young defender who had loan spells with Fleetwood Town and Oxford United, never made a senior apperance for The Terriers after joining in 2007 from non-league Bridlington.

Terriers manager Lee Clark spoke to htafc.com:-

'Releasing players is my hardest task as manager, without a doubt. It's hard enough telling the senior professionals that their contracts aren't getting renewed, but when you are giving the news to a young lad it is a tough one.'

'Leigh has some good attributes as a defender and we will do everything we can to help him get fixed up with another club if that is the path he chooses.'

I'm sure Leigh will manage to fix himself up with a club in the future and we would like to wish him the best for the future.
