HTFC - A Man Under Pressure?

LEE Clark has spoken out at the fans who questioned his decision to substitute Lee Novak in Tuesday night's bore draw at Hartlepool.

As Novak headed for the bench on 71 minutes the Town fans in the away end chanted at the Town bench 'You don't know what your doing'

We all know that Novak is a crowd favourite and in a game that offered very little the little bit of hope that Town fans were clinging onto in the game had just gone off the field with 19 minutes still to play.

Now the manager has spoken to the examiner about his decisions and said that the fans reaction to the change was 'bordering on disgraceful' , the change saw Town revert back to the 4-5-1 formation that they started the game with.

Clark had brought on Jordan Rhodes after 54 minutes as he changed to a 4-4-2 which the fans had been calling for, but Town were pummelled after that change and Hartlepool did seem the more likely to score at that stage.

So perhaps wisely he reverted back to the original tactic which afterwards Town did regain a grip of the game.

We all know Clark likes his stats and he went on to explain and offer an invitation to all Town fans and readers of the examiner:-

'The statistics show that when we went with two up top for that period of the game, we were getting absolutely pummelled,' said Clark, who said the backing of the majority of Town's fans was 'magnificent'.

'People are entitled to their opinion, but if any of them want to come into my office, I`ll go through the DVD and the statistics with them.'

I Have to agree with Lee Clark on this one however I am not so sure he needed to come out and defend himself over the substitution.

It is his head on the block if he cannot deliver the results needed, a fact I am sure he is acutely aware of.

We all want whats best for Huddersfield Town and 3 points whenever or where ever we play, Lee Clark is behind Huddersfield Town.
