Jordan Rhodes - Staying Put & a New Deal

Lee Clark and Chairman Dean Hoyle had categorically stated that Jordan Rhodes is not for sale at any price during this transfer window.

That hasn't stopped clubs being linked with the in-form striker and West Ham making tentative offers of around a reported £4.5million.

Football fans can be forgiven for being cynical the the not for sale plea, however Town's rebuffal of enquiries has been firm but fair. 'Thanks, but No Thanks.'

It has now come to press that Jordan will be offered improved terms, his current contract runs until 2015, news that will please all Town fans.

Rhodes as we all know has a phenomenal scoring record this season, with his league one record standing at an impressive 25 goals in 19 appearances.

With all the speculation surrounding Rhodes he still managed to plunder 5 goals against Wycombe and then put in an impressive team display against a resolute Oldham Athletic last weekend.

Huddersfield will again see the media spotlight fall on them and Rhodes as the Sky Camera's roll into Town for the clash with Brentford at 17:20 today.

Lee Clark revealed that Rhodes was not the only Town player in the squad attracting attention from higher division vulture clubs, however the manager is under no-pressure to sell any of his prize young stars as he aims for Promotion at the third attempt from league one.
