Huddersfield Town fans have been split on opinion over who should be between the sticks at Huddersfield Town.

Highly rated Alex Smithies has missed much of the season with a knee injury and following his recall to the team by then manager Lee Clark in February, he has held the number 1 jersey.

There have been calls from several sections of supporters to give that starting slot back to Ian Bennett, who has been incredibly consistent for Huddersfield this season.

We are perhaps fortunate or cursed, whichever way you look at it, to have probably two of the best 'keepers in this division.

Alex has made some crucial saves since his return, but equally a few fumbles here and there have had people clammering for a Bennett recall.

So there is a clear winner with this poll result, but there is only one man's opinion that will count and that is Simon Grayson.

There are strong rumours that Ian Bennett is set to be recalled for today's trip to Preston.
