DAVID MIRFIN returns to The Galpharm today with Scunthorpe United to face his home town team and the club who gave Mirfin his break in professional football, Huddersfield Town.
The solid centre half, who is on loan at Scunthorpe from Watford, made 179 appearances and scored 12 goals for The Terriers.
This will be Mirfin's first playing return to the Galpharm since leaving Huddersfield in 2008!
Mirfin spoke with the Iron Player on Scunthorpe's official club site:-
'I'm really looking forward to it. It will be the first time I've been back there as a player,'
'The last time Scunthorpe went there I was just coming back from injury so I was on the substitutes' bench and never really had the chance to play.
'it will be good to go back though.
'I know there aren't necessarily a lot of familiar faces in the Huddersfield team, but it will be good to see people behind the scenes and just to go back to the club.
'They have lost their last three games and it will probably be the best time for us to go.
'They're going to be going out to put that right, and it's up to us to bounce back from Saturday's defeat '
Mirfin, who is out of contract at Watford in the summer, is hoping to make his move at Scunthorpe permanent in the summer.
Question is would we like to see him return home?
