Ian Bennett fighting Fit for Play-Off Final

Huddersfield Town enter the final day ahead of the play-off final meeting with Sheffield United on the 26th May at Wembley with Ian Bennett the only injury concern.

The veteran stopper, and former Blade, will be given till the last moment to decide if he is fit to take part in the vital League One Play off decider.

'We are just assessing him every day,' confirmed manager Simon Grayson.

'He took a nasty whack on the hand and, while it is getting better every day, we will see where we are come the end of the week.

'Ian is a good professional and an experienced player and he knows he has to be 100% right.

'If he's not then he could easily let himself down and, more importantly, the team, but Ian is a good pro and he knows what he needs to do.'

Grayson may decide to go with Alex Smithies in any case but the decision will be left until the last moment, although I expect the decision has probably already been taken.

The other injury concern over Scott Arfield has cleared with the Scot being declared fit to play, that leaves only Gary Naysmith on the sidelines although he wouldn't be expected to be selected anyway with Calum Woods & Tom Clarke in good form competing for the left back slot.
