GARY ROBERTS hoping for Wembley inclusion

GARY ROBERTS has not given up hope of playing for Huddersfield Town in the Wembley play-off final meeting with Sheffield United.

The 28-year-old winger, whose contract runs out at the end of this season, didn't feature in either of the semi-final meetings with MK Dons although he did feature as an unused substitute in the second leg.

News filtering through is that Roberts has been offered a contract at Town but perhaps not on the terms he wanted, leading to speculation as to why he maybe hasn't featured recently.

These are of course all rumours and critics would say that Roberts hasn't been at his best for Town this season since breaking his arm earlier in the season.

One thing for sure is that an on-form Gary Roberts is certainly an asset, and Simon Grayson has given Roberts and the entire squad the chance to impress this week and the manager will face some difficult selections this weekend.

It is certainly going to be an interesting team selection and with Scott Arfield now declared fit, Kallum Higginbotham in fine forma and Grayson's admiration of Danny Ward I think Roberts may have to settle with a place on the bench on Saturday.

But then what do I know!
