REKORDERLIG - TOWN'S NEW HOME KIT SPONSOR

Promotion to the Championship for Huddersfield Town has benefits in many different guises and on Friday the 8th the club announced a new, record-breaking deal with Swedish Premier Cider Rekorderlig that will see the company's logo emblazoned across the front of the Club's home shirts for the next three seasons.

Rekorderlig is a familiar name for the Club's supporters; their logo appeared on the back of Town's away shirts during the successful 2011/12 season and their distinctive red branding is very noticeable around the Stadium on Huddersfield Town home match days. Most recently, the logo appeared on the front of the first team's training kit on the pitch at Wembley ahead of the dramatic npower League 1 Play-Off Final victory over Sheffield United in late May.

Huddersfield Town's Commercial Director Sean Jarvis explained the partnership:

'As the Club has moved up a division to the Championship, our 'reach' has also increased. Coverage of the Championship means that Huddersfield Town is a much more easily accessible club for domestic and international markets and this fits perfectly with our growing relationship with Rekorderlig Cider.

Rekorderlig's ethos echoes our own; they are an ambitious innovative company that is looking to continue growing and moving into new territories. I am sure we can build upon the excellent relationship we have already forged over the last season and find new ways of working together for mutual benefit.

This three year partnership represents a record deal for the Club financially, which is another reason to celebrate so soon after our promotion. I would like to thank Rekorderlig Cider for their support. We are proud to have them as the 12th name to grace the front of the famous blue and white striped shirt.'

Formed in Vimmerby, Sweden in 1999, Rekorderlig is in huge growth in the UK and around the world. It is partnered globally by Chilli Marketing, which was set up by three former Huddersfield University students.Rekorderlig Cider is available in several stunning flavours; Apple, Pear, Wild Berries, Strawberry-Lime, Apple & Blackcurrant, Mango-Raspberry, Winter Cider and Orange-Ginger. They are stocked in bars (including at Canalside Sports Complex) and supermarkets across the UK.

I can tell you that I have since tried a few of the products on offer, and it's good stuff! If you like Cider anyway!

Give it a try, I am sure there will be some on offer at this evening's launch of the new Home Kit.

Town's new 2012/13 home kit will be revealed in Huddersfield town centre on the evening of Monday 11 June - get to St. George's Square for around 9.30pm!
