JORDAN RHODES, who has been attracting the attention of several Premier League sides already this summer, could be set to stay at Huddersfield Town.
The newly promoted Terriers, who will play in the Championship next season, could hold onto their prized asset after all.
The 22-year-old, who seems to break a record every time he steps onto a football field, is contracted at Huddersfield until 2015.
Rhodes was the country's top-scorer with 40 club goals last season, and is topping the charts for the Scotland U-21'a with eight goals in eight games for Billy Stark's young Scots.
West Ham,, Fulham, Reading, Aston Villa and Celtic have all been linked in recent paper stories for Rhodes, who signed for Town from Ipswich in 2009.
Huddersfield Town coach Glyn Snodin revealed that Rhodes situation will be handled sensibly :-
"Scoring goals is what Jordan does best and, with regard to his future, nothing will be finalised until he comes back from having a well-earned rest.
"Jordan has got a lot to run on his contract, he loves playing for Huddersfield Town and we love him, so hopefully when he comes back everything will be hunky dory."
"Jordan is such a gentleman that we know everything will be done with dignity," added Snodin.
"I am sure he will sit down with his agent, the chairman (Dean Hoyle) and chief executive (Nigel Clibbens) and sort things out as necessary - but we want him and Jordan wants to stay."

Rhodes hit four hat-tricks for Town last season and was on the mark in both legs of the play-off semi final against MK Dons.
Rhodes may not have been able to add to his tally at Wembley against Sheffield United, however he did net one of Town's penalties in the shootout.
If you ask me, that promotion at Wembley, could be enough to see Jordan Rhodes remain at Town until January at the very least, unless an absolute crazy offer comes in for him.
Enjoy your holiday Jordan, you have certainly deserved it, but when your back let us know your plans please!!
