Keith Southern signing completed
KEITH SOUTHERN is officially a Huddersfield Town player after it was confirmed his move from Blackpool had been made official.
The rumour about the interest in Southern was first mentioned immediately following the play-off final victory over Sheffield United and that rumour has finally come to fruition.
Southern ends a 10 year association with Blackpool, with whom he has a testimonial game on August 4th which he will be allowed to compete in as part of the deal.
Southern knows manager Simon Grayson from their time at Blackpool and has a familiar face in the dressing room in Peter Clarke who was at Everton and Blackpool with Southern.
Many see this signing as key, perhaps the new Bullock if you like, a type of player Town have been missing for far too long.
He will allow Norwood & Clayton more freedom and his signing will prove some interesting debates, like formation and selection.
Welcome aboard Keith, looking forward to that first meaty challenge already.
