Leyton Orient snap up Nathan Clarke

Leyton Orient sign ex Huddersfield Town defender Nathan Clarke

The defender was available on a free transfer after his release by boyhood side Huddersfield Town and has signed a two year deal at Brisbane Road.

The 28 year old came through the ranks at Huddersfield Town and made 300 appearances for the Terriers after making his first team debut way back in 2001.

Clarke was frozen out of ex-manager Lee Clark's plans and spent time out on loan at Colchester, Oldham and Bury in recent seasons.

Town fans had been calling on twitter that Clarke should be afforded a testimonial at Town, but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

Good luck to Nathan with his new team and I'm sure we will see his friendly face at town games next season still.
