KEITH SOUTHERN is nothing short of a character. Blackpool fans class him as a legend and the 31-year-old is sure going to be loved by the Town faithful.
Southern who has signed a two-year deal, has been likened to popular Town legend Darren Bullock by supporters; and like you I'm looking forward to that first bone crunching challenge!
Southern revealed to the clubs official site that a few things appealed to him about Huddersfield Town and that he was looking forward to playing a part in the club's journey.
Southern said:-
I wanted a new challenge and now I`m certainly going to get one this season at Huddersfield. I`m really looking forward to getting started.
"I know the manager, Simon, He was a big pull for me to come here because I know how he works.'
"I`m a box to box midfielder and I love a tackle! I`m a good organiser on the pitch and I think I bring a good pedigree as I played in the Premier League two years ago. I know what it takes to get out of this League too."
Southern had lost his place at Blackpool to Barry Ferguson last season after suffering through illness and after achieving a lot in his ten years with the seasiders, I think it's refreshing that he has lost none of his motivation to be succesful.
He really could be one of the most important signings we make this summer.
Some Blackpool fans are extremely sad to have seen him leave whilst others think his legs are gone at 31.
One thing that's for sure is Simon Grayson wouldn't have signed him if he wasn't confident in his ability to deliver.
Another top notch signing; this squad is developing nicely.
