Kay linked with MK Dons

MK DONS have emerged as contenders to sign Huddersfield's Antony Kay after Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore let it slip in a press conference.

The Tranmere manager had been hoping to take Kay back to Prenton Park where he was a fans favourite and a rumoured loan bid was rejected earlier this summer from an unnamed club thought to be Tranmere; with Huddersfield keen to sell Kay who it seems is surplus to requirements at Town.

Moore was quoted as saying "Antony Kay was another one that we`ve knocked on the door and tried to do, But he has gone to MK Dons - or is going to MK Dons tomorrow.

"Mind you, I probably shouldn`t have let that out should I?"

Kay has a year remaining on his Terriers contract and we should expect to see him depart the Terriers before the season begins, question is Will he end up at MK Dons or is this a ploy by Ronnie Moore to try make up Kay's mind?

Kay is not known for his footballing prowess, I couldn't really see him fitting in to MK Dons style of play but then maybe this season they will have a change of tact?

A return to Tranmere probably shouldn't yet be ruled out, although money talks.
