Simon Grayson has blasted Blackburn Rovers and Steve Kean for going public with their derisory bid for Jordan Rhodes.
Kean revealed last week that Blackburn had made an offer for the Scotland International to the press.
In truth it wasn't even considered as a serious offer and Simon Grayson was annoyed that Kean had taken his interest to the press in an attempt to unsettle the player just days ahead of the new season.
That unsettling didn't materialise as Rhodes scored on his full Scotland debut and is all set to start in tonight's televised Sky clash away at Cardiff City
Grayson was quoted on BBC radio Leeds saying:-
'I think things should be done in private but some clubs don't do that,
'Clubs have a number of reasons for going public with these things.'
'Maybe they're trying to unsettle the player or prove their ambition to their fans and get them onside. That's for them to do.
'Our stance is the same; no-one has got anywhere near our valuation of him.'
Rhodes netted 40 goals for Huddersfield in last seasons league one and is all set to spearhead the Terriers Championship frontline.
Rhodes missed the Capital One Cup defeat at Preston due to his Scotland commitments and is due to make his first competitive start of the season for Huddersfield tonight.
Rhodes himself played down the paper talk that has surrounded him all season remaining true to Huddersfield and we fully expect to see Rhodes in the famous Blue & White at least until January but hopefully beyond!
