Huddersfield Town youngster Chris Atkinson has joined league two outfit Chesterfield on a one month loan deal.
The central midfielder joins Liam Ridehalgh at the Spireites on a deal that lasts until 21 October initially.
This is Atkinson's second loan spell away from The Terriers after featuring 15 times for Darlington last season.
Atkinson has made just 2 starts and 2 appearances as a sub for the Huddersfield Town first team.
Grayson was pleased to see Atkinson leave and hopes that this move will prove beneficial for all parties, he spoke to htafc.com:-
"Chris has played in every Development game so far and impressed the coaches immensely," said Simon. "We feel that this move will benefit his development as a young footballer in an environment close to home and in a team who are looking to bounce back following relegation.'
"Our young Academy graduates such as Jack Hunt and Liam Ridehalgh have used loan spells at Chesterfield in the past to great effect and we are hoping Chris will do the same."
Good luck to the young lad, hope he gets game time and impresses.
