Jon Stead set for John Smiths Reunion

Jon Stead returns to Huddersfield Town with Bristol City this weeknd as his side search for 3 valuable points.

Stead has only returned to town once since his departure to then Premier League side Blackburn Rovers.

That return came in a Carling Cup tie in August 2008, when Sheffield united defeated Town by 2-1.

Stead came through the Town academy and made his debut as a teenager during the 2002-03 campaign, when Town were relegated to the bottom tier and went into administration.

Stead was sold for 1.25m in January 2004 to Blackburn and has since become a bit of a journey man taking in spells with Sunderland, Derby (on loan), Sheffield United, Ipswich and Coventry (on loan)

Stead has one goal to his name this season and will be hoping for a start and a goal against his home town team on Saturday
