Grayson - It's Leeds Cup Final Too!

SIMON GRAYSON stoked the fire ahead of the West Yorkshire derby between Huddersfield Town and Leeds United, this despite trying to play this game down for years when he was the boss of Saturday's opponents Leeds United.

There are just 16 miles separating the two grounds and Grayson has said that all Leeds fans will be desperate to win, hence why they have sold out their allocation of the away end at the Town ground!

Grayson spoke to htafc.com ahead of the meeting:-

'Any Yorkshire derby is a special occasion, but I know that Leeds fans will be playing it down. Believe me though if we win on Saturday then Leeds fans will be devastated because of the amount of stick that they will get.

'It means a lot to both football clubs no matter how much Leeds try and play it down, even I tried to when I the Leeds manager!'


The match will be a first meeting with his former employers after getting the sack last season. The game also see's the return of former Town manager Neil Warnock to Huddersfield, it will be interesting to see what reception he gets.
