ADAM CLAYTON admits that this is the fixture he has been looking forward to since leaving Leeds in the summer.
The 400k summer signing was close to missing the game having been walking a suspension tight rope in recent weeks, as it transpired he picked up his fifth booking and missed the Mid-week match at Middlesborough and is back fit and raring to go today.
The former England Under-20 international was first signed by Grayson in August 2010 after initially arriving at Elland Road on loan from Manchester City. It came somewhat of a surprise that Leeds anager Neil Warnock transferred the Midfielder and even more so that he joined Town for just 400k
The midfielder faced a Twitter backlash from angry Leeds fans after he joined their West Yorkshire neighbours.
Clayton spoke to Sky Sports News ahead of the game:-
'I cannot wait to play against friends having only recently left. Banter has been flying about this week with text messages. It will be good, I cannot wait.
'When you are playing people you know you want to get that little bit over on them. I'm sure I will try an extra 5% to get a goal.
'I have had quite a bit of stick on Twitter from Leeds fans. I don't know if they still wanted me there. It was a disappointing time to leave but I found a club who are on the up and great to be around.'
He will be pumped up for this afternoon, as I am sure all of the 20k plus crowd will be!
