OSCAR GOBERN could be set to make his first appearance of the season at home to Championship leaders Cardiff City.
Gobern, who has been sidelined after having ankle surgery in the summer, made a surprising return to the match day squad at Derby.
Gobern was an unused substitute in that 3-0 defeat, however as Huddersfield picked up a lot of injuries his return to the side could be sealed come 3pm today.
Chris Atkinson is also back in contention and despite being back in training wasn't selected at Derby, prompting rumours Gobern could start.
With Keith Southern definitely out and Oliver Norwood doubtful, Huddersfield are running short on options in the middle of the park.
Striker James Vaughan is expected to be fit to start, which is good news as Lee Novak (toe) & Jermaine Beckford (hamstring) look set to miss out leaving only Vaughan & Alan Lee as the avaliable strikers.
Sean Scannell, we are lead to believe, can also play up front but with injuries to Danny Ward (broken metatarsal) he may have to make do with a step up from the bench to a wide midfield role, with Scott Arfield on the other flank.
Mark Lillis certainly faces a selection headache ahead of the visit of Cardiff.
Predicted team.
