Joel Lynch late addition to Welsh squad

Huddersfield Town defender Joel Lynch has been called up to the Welsh squad for their upcoming World Cup Qualifying games.

The 25-year-old defender hasn't featured for Huddersfield Town in recent weeks, due to the form of skipper Peter Clarke and Anthony Gerrard, and was only on standby for the Welsh squad.

However with Celtic defender Adam Matthews withdrawing from the squad, Lynch has now been included in the squad to face Scotland at Hampden Park on the 22nd March before taking on Croatia at Swansea's Liberty stadium on the 26th.

Lynch has one Wales cap, and that was earnt in August 2012 against Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a late substitute.
