James Vaughan is the BWF Player of the Year

James Vaughan has been voted by Blue and White Foundation members as their Player of the Season for the 2012/13 season.

The striker, on-loan from Norwich City, won the award with a majority vote with club Captain Peter Clarke coming in second place.

Vaughan has become a huge fan favourite during his year long loan spell, and tops the clubs scoring charts with 13 this season, with just one game to go.

The 24-year-old former Everton trainee has been instrumental in Town's fight against relegation from the Championship.

Congratulations to James, a fully deserving winner and I also think Peter Clarke in second place is the right choice.

Many felt before the season kicked off that Clarke may struggle at Championship level, but Clarke has shown that he rightly belongs with a number of battling displays and true Captains performances.
