Huddersfield seeded for Capital One Cup

Huddersfield seeded for Capital One Cup

The Terriers will be one of the seeded clubs in Monday's Capital One Cup Draw.

This means that they will avoid their Championship rivals but could potentially face Bradford, Oldham, Bury, Rochdale or Rotherham who are all non-seeded.

Accrington, Burton, Carlisle, Chesterfield, Fleetwood, Hartlepool, Mansfield, Morecambe, Port Vale, Preston, Scunthorpe, Shrewsbury and York make up the other non-seeded teams.

The first round ties will be played after the traditional season has kicked off on August 3rd, after last season taking place before the league campaign was underway.

Huddersfield were of course dumped out of the Capital One Cup by Preston by two goals to nil.

The Northern section draw will be made at 9:30 on Monday 17th, just two days before the Championship fixtures are released!
