Alan Lee set to sign on as a player

34-Year-Old Veteran Alan Lee could be set to sign on at Ipswich as a player.

The former Town striker, released at the end of last season, has been taking his coaching badges over the summer and landed a job with Ipswich.

The popular Irishman has been seen training with the Ipswich first team and sparked rumours he could see out his playing days with the tractor boys.

Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy said "He`s doing his coaching badges, I`ve told him he can come and take them. We`ll just see, see if he`s fit, I`ll have a look."

So an open ended ticket for Alan Alan Lee for one more shot with a Championship squad.

Not many out there thought Arfield, Novak or indeed now Lee would end up as Championship opposition this coming season!
