Liam Ridehalgh loan spell set to end

LIAM RIDEHALGH is set to return to Huddersfield Town as his loan at Tranmere is set to expire.

The Merseyside club wanted to extend the deal until the end of the season but Huddersfield have decided not to extend that loan spell and the player will instead return to The Terriers.

Ridehalgh had looked all set to leave Huddersfield when his contract expired last summer, however Manager Mark Robins handed the academy product a new one year deal, and with now just 6 months left on that deal, it probably is a wise move to actually spend some time with the player.

The 22-year-old has impressed at Tranmere and manager Ronnie Moore spoke to their Official Site about the decision:-

'We're just hoping something can be sorted. It was a shock, the message we got. We're still knocking on the door and begging to see whether we can get it. Time will tell, but time's against us at this present moment.'

It's a good sign they are begging to keep Liam, he obviously has been an important player for them during his loan spell, now his challenge must be to come back and finally try and impose himself in the Huddersfield Town squad
