Ridehalgh sold to Tranmere

Huddersfield Town defender Liam Ridehalgh will become a full time Tranmere Rovers player officially on Friday.

The 22-year-old academy product, who made his debut for Huddersfield under Lee Clark, has spent most of his Huddersfield Town career out on loan and with 6 months remaining on his current deal Town have decided to cash in.

The fee as always is undisclosed and manager Mark Robins spoke to the Huddersfield Examiner to confirm the move:-

Liam is a good professional, a great person and has been at the Club for over a decade, but at this stage of his career he needs regular football and this move will allow him to get that.'

We wish Liam good luck with the rest of his career, it is a shame not to have seen him progress further with Huddersfield as he did look a good prospect when he burst onto the scene. Every loan club he has been with has also had nothing but good things to say and all expressed a desire to keep him on.

I'm sure if he ever returns he will get a good reception as a visiting player
