Cadamarteri Announces Retirement

Danny Cadamarteri has announced his retirement from the game at 34-years-old.

The former Everton trainee, who had two spells at Town, has been unable to shake off a long-term knee injury and specialists have advised that he pack away his boots.

'Cadders' as he is known is nearing the end of his two-year contract at Carlisle and whilst he has been sidelined he has been coaching the Leeds United Ladies team!

Cadamarteri was with Town from June 2007- June 2009 & January 2011 and June 2012 after he returned from Scotland.

He made 28 appearances last term for Carlisle, scoring twice, but has failed to make a single appearance this season for Graham Kavanagh's team.

His career total saw him play 399 games at club level with 42 goals.

His other former sides include Bradford City (twice), Leeds United, Sheffield United, Leicester City & Dundee United.

We wish Danny all the best for what ever career path he chooses to go down, he will always remain a welcome figure down at the Town Ground.
