Radoslaw Majewski Joins Terriers

Radoslaw Majewski has today signed on a season long loan deal at Huddersfield Town, the 27-Year-Old Polish International joins from Championship rivals Nottingham Forest.

Majewski, is a name familiar with Town fans after he was linked in the last two January transfer windows and last summer as well!

He also netted a hat-trick against The Terriers in Mark Robins first game in charge, a 6-1 drubbing at the City Ground, something that has had Robins casting admiring glances towards the attacking midfielder ever since.

Majewski passed his medical earlier today and featured as a late substitute in this evenings friendly win against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, he also claimed the assist for Adam Hammill's winning goal!

Manager Mark Robins spoke to the clubs Official Site

"We have made it clear throughout the closed season that we would stay patient during the transfer window and today that patience has paid dividends with the arrival of Radoslaw. He is a top class Championship player, especially in the number 10 role, and we`re delighted to bring him to the Club.

"He ticks the box of having proven pedigree at this level, playing regularly for a side competing towards the top of the division each season. He has the ability to come in and make an immediate impact on our First Team and will be a major asset in our attacking options during the course of the season.

"I`m delighted this move has come to fruition. During my time here we`ve seen hard work and perseverance pay off with some excellent additions and I think he will prove to be another. We identified Radi as a target some time ago, but we`ve had to wait until circumstances made him available. When those circumstances fell into place, we`ve moved quickly.

"Like every other club, we are always looking to strengthen but we will continue to do so in a patient and well thought out way."

Majewski has scored 19 goals in 162 Forest appearances, having initially joined on a season long loan, in 2010 he made the move permanent for a then reported fee of £1 Million pounds.

Amid speculation of Town's interest in January 2013, the midfielder signed a new 3 and a half year deal at Forest, capping the reward with the aforementioned hat-trick!

Majewski though has dropped rapidly down the pecking order at Forest with only 29 appearances last season, the Polish International ha moved in favour of more regular game time

Majewski has taken the number 45 shirt for the duration of his loan spell, leaving the number 10 shirt still vacant!

So a warm welcome aboard to 'Radi' he is certainly an exciting addition to the team.
