The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the Championship Play Off Semi Final between Huddersfield Town and Sheffield Wednesday.

Huddersfield Town host Sheffield Wednesday in the Semi Final first leg decider over who gets one step closer to Wembley and the Premier League this season.

The game takes place on Sunday May 14 at the John Smith's Stadium and the match carries a 12pm kick off.

Referee: Paul Tierney
Linesmen: Simon Bennett and Richard West
Fourth Official: David Coote

Match Day referee Tierney has officiated 30 games in 2016/17, with a return of 105 yellow cards and five red cards.

His highest card count this season was seven yellows and one red in the game between Swindon and Oxford. He also showed seven yellows in the game between Newcastle United and Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day.

He took in 42 matches last season and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 118 yellow cards and four red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers on August 28 with a total of eight yellows being shown and one red card.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of the players edge closer to automatic bans.
