Pyke & Booty Set For Loan Deals

Pyke & Booty Set For Loan Deals

Huddersfield Academy Graduates Regan Booty and Rekeil Pyke look set to leave the Premier League new boys, with both expected to pen loan deals at League Two clubs.

Pyke appeared for Port Vale in a pre-season game, where the Valiants won 6-0 against Kidsgrove Athletic, with Pyke netting a brace and only playing for the final 45 minutes of the game.

Local paper The Stoke Sentinel broke the story yesterday with Vale manager Chris Morgan quoted as saying:-

I think as far as we are concerned the deal is done. We approached Huddersfield and I think there are just little bits left to sort out. Hopefully that should be done and over the line.

'He is a young striker, he is raw and he is learning his trade. But from our point of view we are bringing a striker in from a Premier League team'

Regan Booty meanwhile is said to be closing in on a loan at Lincoln City with Bradford also rumoured to be interested in the midfielder.

Booty was of course promoted to the First Team set up last season at Huddersfield and interestingly hasn't been awarded a squad number this season, fuelling rumours that he his set for a season-long loan spell away from the club.

Neither player is likely to feature for The Terriers in the Premier league and so getting a full season and compliment of games under their belt is only going to be good for their development.

We shall have to wait and see if the loan destinations are correct, but we do fully expect both players to depart on loan this summer.
