Kachunga and Löwe Earn New Deals

Kachunga and Löwe Earn New Deals

Promotion winners Chris Löwe and Elias Kachunga have committed their futures to Huddersfield Town with the duo signing new contracts with the club.

Kachunga of course only recently completed his permanent transfer to the club from FC Ingolstadt 04, after initially joining on-loan with a view to the move becoming permanent. He signed that deal in March of this year and rightly so is awarded a new better deal after finishing as the clubs top scorer in the promotion season despite playing much of it on the wing rather than up-front as the Number 9 we perhaps all, including Elias, expected him to!

Kachunga's new deal runs until June 2020 with the club having, what is becoming a standard, years option clause in the contract.

Löwe, who also joined the club just last summer from 1. FC Kaiserslautern, also signs a new deal running to June 2020, with you guessed it, a years extension clause in the contract.

Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner commented on the clubs Official Site:

"It`s very important that Chris and Elias have committed their futures to Huddersfield Town by signing new contracts.

"Both Chris and 'Kache` were big players for the team as we gained promotion to the Premier League last season. I knew they were both high quality footballers when they arrived, but they deserve so much credit for the way they adapted to English football so quickly. That is testament to their characters and personalities as much as their footballing ability.

"They will continue to be big, big players for us in the Premier League season and these new contracts are also a reward for what they have achieved with us so far.

"I expect that more of the players who have made this journey into the Premier League will also commit their futures to the Club in the coming weeks."

Their couldn't be a more deserving pair in my opinion to receive new lengthy, and no doubt pay rises in their contracts than these two.

Löwe, a virtual ever present and highly consistent performer, not to mention a penalty expert and Kachunga, what a guy.

Congratulations to both and here's to a #NoLimits Premier League Campaign!!!
