Michael Hefele Awarded New Deal

Michael Hefele Awarded New Deal

Huddersfield fans will be delighted as the Michael Hefele song can stick around, with the big German fan favourite signing a new deal keeping him at the club until 2019.

As always there is the option for a further year in the deal that the club can choose to take up.

Hefele is the 9th Huddersfield player to be awarded a new deal since they won in the play-off final and earned promotion to the Premier League.

Hefele who joined the club from Dynamo Dresden on a free transfer went onto make 40 appearances, playing all three play-off games and despite missing a penalty in the final ended up on the victorious side after he joked he missed on purpose to put the pressure in Reading.

What a character and a pleasure to see him, along with the other members of the play-off winning squad, rewarded for last seasons #HeffingDream
