Huddersfield 3 v Gillingham 1

A disappointing 9,167 watched this game and in truth it was all over after 8 minutes at the Galpharm this afternoon.
A goal in 3 minutes by Beckett and another one from Booth on 8 minutes, left the Gillingham side reeling, and the home supporters realising why Gillingham have conceeded so many goals already this season.
The visitors did regain their composure for the remainder of the first half, after the disastrous opening few minutes, but in truth never looked like making a game of it, and Glennon's goal was rarely threatened.
The second half continued in much the same vein, and it was a little suprising that opposing manager, x town striker Ronnie Jepson didn't try and change things around much before Gillingham fortunately were given a lifeline by Mulligan's 70th minute score.
Any doubts about the result were ended by as you would expect, who else, Andy Booth with his second goal on 82 minutes, and another goal with his foot!
Booth was excellent and Mirfin was outstanding at the back again, how long before major clubs come in with offers.
Fortunately the transfer window has just closed.
