Huddersfield - Jackson's Gone
HUDDERSFIELD Town boss Peter Jackson has parted company with the club after three years and eight months.
The move follows Saturday`s 5-1 drubbing at Nottingham Forest with the club 15th in League I, just seven points above the relegation zone.
The club have said
The Board of Directors of Huddersfield Town regrets to announce that the contract of Manager Peter Jackson has with immediate effect been terminated by mutual consent.
The Board's clearly stated minimum aim at the start of the season was to achieve a Play-Off position, but unfortunately due to our form and the inability to attract key players, this objective is now looking remote.
The Board is ambitious for this great Club and is committed to taking it forward as dynamically as possible and we have therefore regrettably had to part company with Peter.
Peter made a major contribution to the Club as it emerged from administration and helped us achieve our early successes. We would like to thank Peter most sincerely for his services over the last three and a half years and wish him all the best for the future.
Academy manager, Gerry Murphy has been appointed Caretaker Manager whilst we seek applications for the post of manager of Huddersfield Town FC.
