The Charlton assistant manager is being talked about as potentially the next Huddersfield or even Luton boss.
However Parkinson has hinted at his desire to remain at The Valley.
Parkinson joined the Addicks as part of Alan Pardew's new coaching staff in January 2007, after leaving Hull by mutual consent in early December.
Although he's only on a contract until the end of the season, Parkinson has said that he wishes to remain at the club and restore his reputation alongside Alan Pardew.
'Alan [Pardew] has given me an important role at Charlton and after my short spell at Hull City at the start of the season, I just want to concentrate on our relegation battle and enjoy my football here at Charlton', Parkinson told Sports News.
'I enjoy working alongside Pards and long may it continue.'
Parkinson was thought of as one of the games best up and coming managers, but after success at Colchester then failing at Hull City he could be set for a long spell alongside Pardew at CAFC, before branching out on his own again.
Vital view - Not sure what to make of that, its not exactly ruling himself out or in, sounds like he could be hedging his bets with the Charlton fans in case he doesn't get one of the jobs, or are we just being too cynical ?
