'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Murphy looks to 'tosh'

Gerry comments on the Oldham game

'Oldham have scored a lot of goals this term and it will be a real test for our defence. I keep stressing to the defensive unit that communication is paramount and we have to keep doing the basics well.

Talking to each other is the key and we are getting there; we had a bit of a disruption to the personnel in the back four going into the Port Vale game but Martin McIntosh is a great player to be able to bring in given those situations'

'John Sheridan has done very well this season; his team has been in the top six all season and they were even top for a bit, which I don't think any of the pundits thought they would be at the start of the season. However, past form and results tend to go out of the window with a local derby like this.

'I felt we had a couple of great opportunities to win the game against Port Vale and it is important that we start converting some of these draws into wins.

We have the squad to go and win at Boundary Park and we will definitely be going there to get all three points.'

Vital view - Don't you just love Gerry Murphy, praising McIntosh would not have happened this season under Peter Jackson, and going to Oldham for the three points when we have such an injury ravaged and depleted squad is positivity personified.

Showing that kind of confidence in the lads must give them a boost.

VanMan
the classic mix of youth and experience, tosh, beckett, booth, skarz, collins, and some young lads with a lot of games under their belts, we need some more men though, come on town
Terriers
what a life, what a club, four weeks ago he was never going to get a chance to play for us again, now we rely on him ! Never say never.
